Nestle India Declares ₹2 Special Dividend
Nestle India declared a special ₹2 per share dividend paid July 30 alongside regular FY26 final dividend. Record date is July 10. Shares rose 0.74%. Payout comes from retained earnings of ₹5,107 crore. A regular dividend is paid every year. A special dividend is a one-time extra payout when a company has surplus cash beyond what it needs. Nestle is essentially saying we have more cash than we need and we are returning it to shareholders. Special dividends confirm strong free cash flow, healthy retained earnings and no urgent capital needs all powerful signs of financial strength. To be eligible buy shares before July 9 under T+1 settlement. Nestle's special dividend taught me that one-time payouts signal surplus cash generation and financial confidence, making it essential to track both regular and special dividend history for FMCG stocks like $NESTLEIND Nestle, $HINDUNILVR HUL and $BRITANNIA Britannia before making long term investment decisions
