JSW STEEL Q2 FY27 RESULTS: EXCELLENT PROFIT ; GROWTH & SALES
JSW Steel has delivered an impressive performance in Q2 FY27, with consolidated net profit surging approximately 225% year-on-year to Rs 5,279 crore, while revenue increased nearly 21% to Rs 54,486 crore. EBITDA rose to Rs 10,120 crore, supported by improved operating performance and record quarterly steel sales of 7.46 million tonnes. The EBITDA margin also expanded to 18.6%, compared with 15.8% in the corresponding quarter last year. The strong performance highlights the company's operational efficiency, robust domestic demand and improving profitability. Record sales volumes, particularly in flat steel products and the automobile segment, provide further support to the growth outlook. However, rising coking coal prices and higher input costs remain important factors to monitor in the coming quarters. From a stock market perspective, the results are fundamentally strong and indicate positive business momentum. Nevertheless, the immediate share price reaction may depend on market expectations, profit booking and the sustainability of margins. Notably, the stock declined after the results announcement, indicating that excellent financial performance does not automatically translate into immediate buying momentum.
