TRIDENT: PROFIT JUMPS 93%, ₹4,650 CRORE CAPEX PLAN IN FOCUS
TRIDENT reported a significant improvement in its Q2 FY27 earnings. Net profit increased 93.1% year-on-year to ₹175.50 crore, compared with ₹90.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company has also announced plans for capital expenditure of ₹4,650 crore, indicating an ambitious expansion programme. What investors should monitor: - Textile and paper business performance - Export demand and realisations - Raw-material and energy costs - Operating margins - Execution and funding of the proposed capex My view: Strong profit growth is encouraging, but the large expansion plan makes capital allocation and future returns equally important. Investors should assess whether the proposed investment can generate sustainable earnings growth. Disclosure: This note represents my independent research assessment. I do not hold this stock.
