ONGC Q2 profit rises 57%................
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited reported standalone net profit of ₹15,489 crore in Q2 FY27, up 57.3% year on year. Revenue increased 32.8% to ₹43,875 crore. The improvement was largely supported by higher oil and gas realisations, while production remained broadly flat. ONGC's H1 FY27 standalone profit reached ₹32,522 crore, almost equal to the entire FY26 profit of ₹32,894 crore. The more important development is the investment pipeline. ONGC awarded two Western Offshore development projects worth ₹11,800 crore and also announced two new hydrocarbon discoveries. The company declared an interim dividend of ₹8 per share, with a record date of November 12, 2026. My view is positive on earnings, but the next focus should be crude and gas realisations, production growth and execution of the offshore projects. Stance: Positive, with commodity realisations as the key risk. ONGC
