Seamec secures ₹517 crore vessel charter contract

Seamec Limited (NSE: SEAMECLTD) entered into a vessel charter contract worth approximately ₹517 crore with HAL Offshore Limited on October 21, 2026. The contract covers deployment of SEAMEC ANANT for offshore work connected with ONGC. The contract period is approximately 1,225 days. Its value is equivalent to about 49.8% of the company’s reported trailing twelve-month operating revenue of ₹1,038.46 crore. This provides potential revenue visibility over more than three years. My view: The contract is material relative to Seamec’s revenue base. However, the full economic benefit will depend on vessel availability, operating costs and timely execution. HAL Offshore is also Seamec’s promoter, making the related-party nature of the transaction an important detail for investors to review alongside the stated commercial terms. What to watch next: Contract commencement, vessel utilisation, operating margins and disclosures on execution. Stance: Positive for order visibility, with execution and related-party terms requiring attention
