Can NITCO stock break past Rs 400-mark again? Analyst view
ITC Share Price: ITC’s stock has come under pressure in 2026 as Street reacted sharply to excise duty hike on cigarettes, effective from February 1, 2026, which will be charged on top of the existing 40 per cent GST. The stock extended 2025 losses and tumbled nearly 10 per cent on the very first trading session of the new year. In 2026 so far, ITC has declined 17 per cent and given negative closing in 8 out of 10 trading sessions so far. As a result, the company has lost more than Rs 80,000 crore in valuation. ITC share on Wednesday (Jan 14) closed marginally higher at Rs 334.75 on BSE and the company's market cap stood at Rs 4.19 lakh crore.
