INFY
just delivered a result that deserves a closer look.
For Q2 FY27, the IT major reported a 6.2% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹7,823 crore. Revenue increased 10.7% to ₹49,244 crore, while operating margins remained at 21%.
So far, so good.
But here’s the detail that caught my attention: Infosys reduced its FY27 constant-currency revenue growth guidance to 1–2%, from the earlier 1.5–3% range. Pricing pressure was among the factors behind the revised outlook.
This is where investors need to look beyond headline profit.
A company can report higher earnings today while signalling that business growth may be slower than previously expected. For IT companies, client spending, deal conversions, pricing and demand for AI-related services can all influence future performance.
Infosys also reported large deal wins worth $5.2 billion during the quarter, which gives investors another important metric to track. The question is how quickly those contracts translate into actual revenue.
For me, the real story is the balance between strong deal momentum and cautious growth guidance.
**Will AI-led demand be enough to offset pricing pressure and slower client spending?**
That’s what makes the next few quarters important for Infosys.#TechnicalViews#EquityResearch#StockInNews#WatchOutFor#IndexStrategies
