Tata Motors PV October sales up 23% to 75,426 units YoY

TMPV
reported strong sales performance in October 2026, with total domestic and international dispatches increasing 23% year-on-year to 75,426 units compared with 61,295 units in October 2025. Domestic passenger vehicle dispatches grew 20.9% to 73,894 units from 61,134 units. International business recorded a sharp 851.6% increase to 1,532 units compared with just 161 units in the previous year. However, the export growth percentage is supported by a relatively low base. The Electric Vehicle (EV) business delivered particularly strong momentum. Combined domestic and international EV dispatches increased 74.9% to 16,244 units from 9,286 units. EVs contributed approximately 21.5% of total monthly passenger vehicle sales, highlighting the growing importance of electric mobility in Tata Motors' portfolio. The company attributed its sales momentum to festive demand, strong traction across SUV models including Nexon, Punch, Harrier and Safari, and expanding international dispatches. Fundamentally, broad-based volume growth, particularly in EVs, is encouraging. Higher volumes can support revenue growth and operating leverage, although actual profitability will depend on product mix, discounts, input costs and margins. Monthly dispatch growth should also be evaluated alongside retail registrations and future demand trends. My View: October sales figures are strongly positive for Tata Motors PV. Domestic growth of 20.9% and EV growth of 74.9% indicate healthy business momentum. Continued SUV demand and EV adoption provide additional growth opportunities. What to watch: Monthly domestic and export sales trends. EV market share and profitability. SUV demand and product mix. Discounts, margins and festive demand sustainability. Stance: TMPV – HIGHLY POSITIVE (9/10)
