ESAB India Increases Stake in Sunsure Solar to 17.38% for Green Energy Access
ESAB India Limited has made an additional equity investment of ₹1.95 crore in Sunsure Solar Park Twenty-Four Private Limited (SSWTPL), raising its shareholding from 9.78% to 17.38%, as part of its sustainable energy strategy. The total approved investment stands at ₹2.12 crore, with ₹17.19 lakh already invested prior to this tranche.
SSWTPL, incorporated in April 2024 and based in Gurgaon, is setting up a solar power plant to supply electricity under captive consumption arrangements. ESAB India has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the company to source renewable power for its manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu, supporting its decarbonization goals.
This strategic move enables ESAB to qualify as an eligible consumer under open access and captive generation norms, ensuring long-term, clean energy supply while contributing to cost stability.
The transaction, compliant with SEBI LODR and not involving any related party, reflects ESAB’s proactive approach to integrating sustainability into operations through targeted investments in renewable infrastructure—aligning business growth with environmental responsibility.
