Tejas Networks' Q1 FY26 Performance

Tejas Networks, a Tata Group company, reported a net loss of ₹194 crore for the June quarter (Q1 FY26), compared to a profit of ₹77 crore in the same period last year. Operating revenue plummeted by 87% YoY to ₹202 crore, triggering a sharp 10% fall in its stock price on Tuesday. The weak performance was accompanied by the resignation of Chief Supply Chain Officer Sembian Venkatesan, cited as due to personal reasons. Despite the earnings miss, Tejas announced key developments, including an estimated ₹1,526 crore APO from BSNL for 4G expansion and strategic partnerships with Rakuten Symphony and Intel to develop 5G Open RAN solutions and D2M-enabled devices. These moves signal efforts to drive future growth and global expansion.
