E2E
E2E Networks Limited (E2E) reported Q2 FY27 revenue of ₹223.8 crore, up 411% year-on-year. It also signed a binding term sheet for a multi-year AI infrastructure contract worth approximately ₹1,000 crore, excluding taxes.
The numbers are striking. But the more interesting story is what sits behind them.
Net profit reached ₹72.7 crore, while EBITDA was ₹171.5 crore, giving the company an EBITDA margin of 76.6%. Revenue also grew 42.7% sequentially, suggesting the expansion is not limited to a year-on-year comparison against a smaller base.
The contract is with an Indian sovereign AI company for NVIDIA Blackwell cloud GPUs and related services. It is expected to run through June 2029.
However, there is an important distinction investors should keep in mind: a ₹1,000 crore contract value is not the same as ₹1,000 crore of revenue recognised today. Delivery, utilisation, contract execution and payment collection will determine how much of this opportunity translates into financial performance.
There is also a capital intensity question. E2E's depreciation expense increased as its GPU fleet expanded. AI infrastructure can generate attractive operating margins, but the business still needs to fund hardware, capacity and upgrades as demand grows.
My view: E2E is worth watching because its growth is supported by both rising revenue and a sizeable contract. But I would not value it on AI demand or headline contract value alone.
The next things I would track are revenue growth, cash flow after capital expenditure, GPU utilisation and actual revenue contribution from the new contract.
The opportunity is significant. Execution will determine the returns.#FundamentalViews#WatchOutFor#EquityResearch
