Dixon Technologies Acquires Majority Stake in Kunshan Q Tech India
📢 Dixon Technologies (India) Limited (DTIL) has executed a share subscription and purchase agreement (SSPA) to acquire a 51% stake in Kunshan Q Tech Microelectronics (India) Pvt. Ltd., strengthening its footprint in electronics manufacturing.
The transaction, valued at approximately ₹5529.99 crore, will be executed through:
Share Purchase: Dixon will acquire 16.15 million shares from Q Tech Singapore and Q Tech International for ₹4279.99 crore.
Share Subscription: Dixon will subscribe to 4.71 million new shares for ₹1249.99 crore.
Upon completion, Dixon will hold 51% equity, while Q Tech Singapore will retain 49%. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close within 90 days.
Kunshan Q Tech India specializes in manufacturing camera and fingerprint modules for mobile handsets, IoT devices, and automotive applications. For FY25, it reported a turnover of ₹1977.20 crore, though it carried a negative net worth of ₹2742.44 crore.
Dixon stated that the acquisition will enhance backward integration, strengthen manufacturing excellence, and unlock synergies in mobile and IoT ecosystems, supporting its vision to be a leading enabler in India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
This move also reflects India’s push for domestic electronics capacity building, aligning with Dixon’s role as a strategic partner for global OEMs.
