Granules India Shares Focus on Q2 Net Profit Jump

GRANULES
India Limited shares remained in sharp focus following the announcement of its financial performance for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026. The pharmaceutical manufacturer reported a robust 39.2% year-on-year increase in net profit after tax, reaching Rs 181.8 crore compared to Rs 131 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The bottom-line growth was supported by solid operational execution and strong demand across key regulated international markets. Consolidated revenue from operations expanded by 20.3% year-on-year to Rs 1,560 crore, up from Rs 1,297 crore recorded in Q2 FY26. Operating performance also witnessed significant gains, with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increasing 21.3% to Rs 337.4 crore compared to Rs 278.1 crore in the prior year. The top-line acceleration was propelled by strong contributions from finished dosage formulations and active pharmaceutical ingredients, even as the company navigated localized input inflation and freight cost headwinds linked to West Asian logistics pressures. Alongside the earnings release, market participants closely evaluated regulatory developments as the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) concluded a current Good Manufacturing Practice inspection at the company's finished dosage manufacturing facility in Gagillapur, Hyderabad. The inspection ended with the issuance of a Form FDA 483 containing eleven observations. While management prepares responses to address these regulatory remarks, the company's solid order book, ongoing product diversification, and strong demand pipeline continue to drive investor attention across pharmaceutical sector counters.
