Reliance Acquires Health Foods Brand “Manna” to Boost FMCG Portfolio
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced a strategic acquisition through its FMCG arm, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL). The company has acquired 100% stake in Southern Health Foods Private Limited, the owner of the popular health food brand “Manna,” for a cash consideration of ₹156.42 crore.
Southern Health Foods, based in Tamil Nadu, is a well-known player in the healthy and nutritious foods segment. The brand Manna offers a wide range of products including millet-based staples, health mixes, breakfast cereals, baby foods, and multi-grain drinks. The company reported revenues of ₹109.40 crore in FY25, making it a strong regional brand with growing demand.
This acquisition aligns with Reliance’s long-term strategy to expand aggressively in India’s fast-growing packaged foods and wellness segment. RCPL already owns brands like Independence, Udhaiyam, and SiL, and the addition of Manna further strengthens its presence in the nutrition-focused category.
Reliance plans to leverage its extensive distribution network and supply chain capabilities to scale the Manna brand across India. The company confirmed that the deal required no regulatory approvals and is not a related-party transaction.
With rising consumer preference for healthier food options, this move positions Reliance strongly in the high-growth health foods market.
