RVNL Emerges as Lowest Bidder for ₹169.48 Crore Railway Electrification Project
New Delhi, September 10, 2025
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced that it has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a major order from West Central Railway. The contract involves the design, modification, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 220/132kV/2×25kV Scott connected traction substation and switching posts, along with SCADA work between BINA and RTA sections in the Bhopal Division. The project aims to support a 3000MT loading target, further strengthening railway infrastructure.
The total order value is ₹169.48 crores, including applicable taxes. The project is expected to be executed within 540 days and is being carried out in the normal course of RVNL’s business. The tender, issued as BPL-PROJECT-EPC-2025-01, is awarded by a domestic entity, and the order is not classified as a related-party transaction.
This contract reinforces RVNL’s position as a key player in railway electrification and infrastructure development, contributing to enhanced capacity and efficiency in freight operations.
