Indian Overseas Bank's release for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 shows net profit of ₹1,912 Crore, up 55.95% YoY, on net interest income of ₹3,867 Crore (up 26.41%). Material earnings beat/acceleration: Net profit growth 56% YoY indicates marked improvement in core profitability and operating leverage for the quarter. Margin and NII expansion: NII up 26% signals stronger lending spreads or volume growth primary driver of bank earnings. Operating cash generation strengthening: Cash from operating activity rose to ₹4,780 Cr (↑80.6% vs prior), supporting internal capital generation and provisioning capacity. Sharply improved asset quality: Low gross NPA (1.19%) and very low net NPA (0.16%) reduce provisioning drag and tail risk from stressed assets. Balance-sheet growth: Global business up 22% shows scale expansion which, if sustained, supports higher recurring income and cross-sell potential.
