Ather currently has the stronger business momentum

OLAELEC
Ola's Q1 FY27 loss narrowed to ₹336 crore, but revenue fell 45% YoY. Deliveries did recover sequentially to 39,192 and market share improved to 8.4%, so there are early signs of an operational recovery. The bigger concern is that August sales fell 29% YoY to 13,849 units, while competitors including Ather, TVS and Bajaj continued to grow. Ola has therefore approved another ₹1,500 crore fundraise, only three months after raising ₹780 crore through QIP. This indicates that funding and execution remain important monitorables. Ather currently has the stronger business momentum. Its Q1 revenue increased 89% to ₹1,216.9 crore and market share rose to 16.8% from 14.2%. Its average monthly registrations have also increased significantly, while Ola's have declined. My fundamental view Ather > Ola on current business quality and momentum. Ola > Ather on turnaround potential, because Ola has a much lower valuation and a successful recovery in volumes/margins could create significant upside. But that comes with substantially higher execution and financial risk. One important point: if by “Ether” you literally meant Ether Energy, rather than Ather Energy, that's a different company and not the listed EV player. The listed company you're likely referring to is Ather Energy. This is educational market analysis, not investment advice.
