POWERGRID

On 8th January 2026, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) informed the National Stock Exchange and BSE that it has been declared the successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) to establish an Inter-State Transmission System for the project “Transmission system strengthening for integration of additional RE potential at Davanagere (0.25 GW) and Bellary (2.75 GW)” on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The project involves a 400 kV D/c Transmission Line in Karnataka, along with associated line bays and augmentation works at Davangere and Bellary Pooling Stations. POWERGRID received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project on 8th January 2026.
