NTPC Green Energy’s arm wins 500 MW capacity in SECI’s

NTPC Green Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary -- NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has emerged as a successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for Selection of RE Power Developers for Assured Peak Supply of 6000 MWh (1500 MW x 4 Hrs.) from ISTS-Connected RE Projects in India, under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (SECI-FDRE-IX). Under the terms of the Request for Selection (RfS), NTPC Renewable Energy has secured 500MW Contracted capacity at a discovered tariff of Rs 6.00/kWh in the aforesaid tender. The e-reverse auction was concluded on August 21, 2026. NTPC Green Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, a ‘Maharatna’ central public sector enterprise. The company is mainly engaged in the activity of developing, building, owning, operating and maintaining utility scale grid connected solar and wind power projects (through O&M operations and in-house engineering). $NTPC
