Indian Oil Corporation reported strong Q2 FY27 results

IOC
Indian Oil Corporation reported strong Q2 FY27 results, with consolidated revenue from operations rising approximately 30% YoY to ₹2.68 lakh crore compared with ₹2.06 lakh crore in Q2 FY26, while consolidated net profit surged 174.7% to ₹22,503 crore against ₹8,191 crore last year, marking a strong turnaround from the previous quarter's loss. Standalone net profit also jumped 184% YoY to ₹21,630 crore. The improvement was supported by better marketing margins, lower crude oil prices during part of the quarter, and robust petrochemical and gas margins. Operationally, IOC achieved record H1 crude throughput of 37.27 million tonnes and increased its domestic fuel market share to 42.7%. Overall, the results are strongly positive, although investors should monitor crude oil price fluctuations, refining margins and potential inventory losses, which could impact profitability in coming quarters
