Jio Financial Services reported mixed Q2 FY27 results

JIOFIN Jio Financial Services reported mixed Q2 FY27 results for the quarter ended September 2026. The company’s consolidated net profit declined 51% YoY to ₹340 crore, primarily due to the absence of dividend income received in the previous year, while total revenue from operations increased 73% to ₹1,699 crore and pre-provisioning operating profit excluding dividend income rose 85% to ₹574 crore. Its lending subsidiary, Jio Credit, recorded a strong 154% YoY growth in assets under management (AUM) to ₹37,320 crore, with net interest income more than doubling to ₹302 crore. Jio BlackRock Asset Management’s AUM increased 57% to ₹22,746 crore, reflecting expansion in the mutual fund business. A major positive development is Bank of America’s agreement to acquire up to a 49.9% stake in Jio Credit, subject to regulatory approvals, which could strengthen the lending business and bring global financial expertise. Jio Payments Bank deposits grew 53% to ₹643 crore, while its customer base reached approximately 40 lakh accounts. The company’s long-term growth prospects remain supported by expansion in lending, payments, asset management and insurance, although rising expenses, execution risks and valuation remain important concerns. Overall, operational growth is strong, but investors should monitor profitability, lending quality and valuation before making investment decisions.
