When a stock is in a strong uptrend, a previous breakout

SMCGLOBAL
When a stock is in a strong uptrend, a previous breakout point often acts as a good support zone because the resistance level that was difficult to cross earlier can turn into support once the price breaks above it. This concept is known as Resistance Turning into Support. After a breakout, the stock may retrace towards the breakout level, where buyers who missed the initial move may enter fresh positions, while existing buyers may add to their holdings. If the price respects this zone and forms bullish candlesticks, higher lows, or a strong reversal with increasing volume, it indicates that buyers are defending the level and the uptrend may continue. A successful retest followed by a fresh upward move can provide confirmation of bullish momentum. However, if the stock breaks decisively below the breakout zone and fails to recover, the bullish structure may weaken. Therefore, traders should monitor price action, volume, and overall market conditions rather than treating the breakout level as guaranteed support.
