Launches PayCentral, India's First Agentic Payment Platform

, through its AI deep research division Phronetic AI, has developed PayCentral, which is claimed to be India's first agentic payment platform. → PayCentral enables Agent-to-Agent (A2A) digital payment transactions, allowing artificial intelligence agents to execute and manage payments without the need for human involvement. → Built as an intelligent payment infrastructure layer, the platform is designed to integrate with major payment gateways like CCAvenue, Stripe, and PhonePe to deliver faster, automated, and smarter consumer checkout experiences. → The platform is described as an "autonomous system where AI agents can negotiate, initiate, and settle payments in real time". → PayCentral is particularly suited for sectors with strong digital customer identities—such as travel, OTT subscriptions, insurance, and financial services—where instant payment directly correlates with higher sales conversion. → The platform aims to close the "last-mile gap" by allowing a merchant's AI shopping assistant to communicate directly with a payment gateway's AI agent, completing checkout seamlessly with minimal customer consent. → Technically, PayCentral is built on Google's Agent Payment Protocol (AP2) and operates atop multiple Payment Aggregators’ Model Context Protocols (MCPs). → This architecture allows AI agents to autonomously generate payment links, process refunds, manage recurring subscriptions, and reconcile accounts in real time. → CCVenue, Infibeam Avenues' own payment gateway brand, is reportedly in the process of integrating PayCentral into its ecosystem to extend A2A capabilities to its merchant network. → The launch aligns with India's booming digital services economy, including the projected growth of the digital insurance, online travel, and online movie ticketing markets by 2030.
