Zen Technologies: Order Book and Expansion Drive Growth

ZENTEC
reported an order book of ₹1,239 crore as of June 30, 2026, down sequentially from ₹1,336 crore due to order execution during the quarter. Q1 FY27 revenue dropped 10.5% year-over-year to ₹142 crore, while EBITDA fell 40.2% to ₹39 crore, impacted by lower revenue scale and an exceptional loss of ₹3.4 crore from a subsidiary fire incident. Aggressive Order & Revenue Targets: Management expects execution to accelerate from Q2 FY27 onward, targeting a consolidated order book of ₹2,500 crore by the end of FY27. Supported by an evaluating pipeline of ₹700–800 crore in simulator orders, the company targets cumulative revenues of roughly ₹4,000 crore across FY27–FY28, with simulators contributing approximately ₹2,000 crore. Market Expansion & Domestic Scope: Beyond expanding internationally into the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, CIS, EU, and the US (where it estimates a $10 billion addressable simulator market), Zen is broadening its domestic footprint. Its entry into Air Force flight simulators via the C-295 platform complements an estimated ₹25,000 crore Army and Navy simulator market opportunity. Core Business Drivers: Simulators and anti-drone systems will remain primary growth engines over the next two years. Long-term opportunities are backed by R&D in robotics, autonomous vehicles, interceptor drones, hard-kill systems, and integrated smart border solutions, alongside potential targeted acquisitions. Margin Guidance & Premium Valuation: Management maintains its FY27 EBITDA margin guidance in the mid-30s as operating leverage improves. Trading at 46x FY28 estimated earnings, the company's premium valuation is supported by strong order visibility and government indigenization initiatives, though timely execution remains essential to sustain these multiples.
