Bajaj Consumer profit rises 66% as margins improve

Research Analyst: UJVIN NEVATIA (PROPRIETOR: NEVAT INVESTMENTS) | SEBI Registration No.: INH100009628 Bajaj Consumer Care Limited (

BAJAJCON
) reported a 65.9% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹70.2 crore in Q2 FY27. Revenue from operations rose 25.5% to ₹333 crore. What happened? EBITDA increased 72.1% to ₹82.3 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded to 24.7% from 18% a year earlier. The coconut portfolio remained a key growth driver, supported by consumer demand and trade traction. The company noted that coconut portfolio volume growth was significantly ahead of revenue growth due to lower coconut prices. It is also revamping selected brands and introducing new products. Why does it matter? Higher volumes and improved operating profitability supported the quarter’s performance. However, lower coconut prices can limit revenue growth despite stronger sales volumes. Elevated raw material costs remain another factor to monitor. My view The improvement in profit and margins is encouraging. The key question is whether the company can sustain operating gains while managing input costs and converting volume growth into revenue. What I am watching next I would track volume growth, revenue realisation, EBITDA margins and raw material costs to assess whether the improvement is sustainable.
