Kirloskar Industries Q2 profit rises 5% to ₹105 crore
Research Analyst: UJVIN NEVATIA (PROPRIETOR: NEVAT INVESTMENTS) | SEBI Registration No.: INH100009628 Kirloskar Industries Limited ( KIRLOSIND ) reported a 5% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax to ₹105 crore for Q2 FY27. Consolidated total income rose 17% to ₹2,097.7 crore, compared with ₹1,790.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. What happened? The company operates as the core investment company of the Kirloskar Group, holding strategic investments across engineering, manufacturing and infrastructure businesses. Its material subsidiary, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries, continued to report resilient operations, supported by operational stability, capacity optimisation and demand across its end-user sectors. The company's wholly owned subsidiary, Avante Spaces, is also progressing with its real estate development in Kothrud, Pune. Why does it matter? Kirloskar Industries' consolidated performance reflects contributions from its group businesses rather than a single operating segment. The growth in income is encouraging, but the 5% increase in profit indicates that earnings growth was more moderate. My view The key point is to look beyond the headline numbers and track the performance of its underlying investments. Kirloskar Ferrous Industries remains an important contributor, while the Kothrud real estate project adds another business dimension. What I am watching next I would track the operating performance of group subsidiaries, the execution and progress of the Kothrud project, and whether profit growth improves alongside income growth.
