Goldiam International Financial Performance analysis
GOLDIAM Goldiam International's Q2 FY27 financial performance presents a tale of two narratives. On an annual comparison basis, the company delivered impressive growth with net sales climbing 42.11% to ₹274.00 crores and consolidated net profit surging 57.53% to ₹49.40 crores. This year-on-year expansion reflects the company's ability to capitalise on recovering demand in the gems and jewellery sector, particularly in export markets where the company has established a strong foothold since its inception in 1986. However, the sequential comparison reveals concerning trends. Revenue declined 15.96% from Q1 FY27's ₹326.03 crores, whilst net profit contracted even more sharply by 33.23% from ₹73.98 crores. This quarter-on-quarter deterioration suggests potential volatility in order flows or seasonal patterns that investors must carefully monitor. The operating profit margin (excluding other income) remained relatively stable at 20.42%, marginally improving from 20.33% in Q1 FY27 and expanding 55 basis points year-on-year from 19.87% in Q2 FY26. The PAT margin for Q2 FY27 stood at 18.03%, down significantly from 22.69% in the previous quarter but still higher than the 16.26% recorded in Q2 FY26. This margin compression on a sequential basis was partly driven by a sharp decline in other income, which fell to ₹17.67 crores in Q2 FY27 from ₹37.63 crores in Q1 FY27. The exceptional other income in Q1 FY27 had artificially inflated profitability, making the sequential comparison less meaningful for operational assessment.
