BSE: Q1 profit is Rs 853 or 873 crore; Q2 gate stays strict

BSE
BSE’s Q1 FY27 profit is reported as Rs 853 crore by one source and Rs 873 crore by another, and my 14 October post used the higher figure. I am keeping Rs 873 crore as the gate, because it is the stricter test. The Q2 FY27 result is due by 14 November under the SEBI deadline, but I could not find a date in any source I checked. Q1 FY27 (quarter to 30 June 2026, reported 4 August): Profit after tax: Rs 872.66 crore, up 62.2 percent YoY (Angel One), or Rs 853 crore (Univest) Total income: Rs 1,706.72 crore, up 63.4 percent YoY (Angel One) BSE [

][***** trades at Rs 3,170.09 at 1:03 PM IST today on StockGro, down 1.0 percent from Rs 3,202.41. That is 3.1 percent above the Rs 3,075 exit level. At 45.7 times trailing earnings, against a sector P/E of 18.5, the stock is priced well above its sector. My view: hold, not a fresh entry. The gate does not change: fresh money waits for Q2 FY27 profit above Rs 873 crore, and for SEBI’s revised derivatives settlement framework, which is reported due by end-October. Without both, no fresh money. My exit is a close below Rs 3,075, the 30 September intraday low on NSE, carried from my 10 October post.
