Carysil: Ashish Kacholia Cuts Stake to 2.72% in Q2 FY27

(

CARYSIL
) Ace investor Ashish Kacholia reduced his holding in Carysil by over 2 lakh shares during Q2 FY27, according to the company’s latest shareholding pattern. His stake declined from 3.52% in June to 2.72% at the end of September, bringing his holding to approximately 7.73 lakh shares. How Has Carysil Performed? Carysil rallied around 75% from its January low of ₹732 to a July high of ₹1,281. However, the stock has since corrected more than 22%, touching ₹998 on October 9. It remains up over 11% in 2026, despite the recent weakness. My View A reduction in a prominent investor’s holding deserves attention, but it should not automatically be interpreted as a negative signal. The exact selling price and transaction dates have not been confirmed, and the disclosure alone does not explain the reason behind the sale. For investors, the more important questions are whether Carysil’s business growth can justify its valuation, whether earnings momentum remains strong, and whether the recent correction creates a reasonable risk-reward opportunity. The key lesson is simple: track large investors’ actions, but make decisions based on business fundamentals, valuation and your own risk assessment—not merely by following a well-known investor.
