JSW Steel Profit Jumps More Than 3 Times,!!!

the company's consolidated net profit more than tripled from the previous year's level. Revenue from operations rose to ₹54,486 crore, exceeding the analyst consensus cited by Reuters. What drove the profit growth? Several factors supported the performance: 1. Higher sales volumes: Sales volumes increased 13% year-on-year, indicating stronger deliveries. 2. Healthy steel demand: Construction, infrastructure, automotive and pipe-related demand supported the business environment. 3. Revenue growth: Revenue increased 20.7% compared with the same quarter last year. 4. Improved operating margin: The operating EBITDA margin increased to 18.57%, compared with 15.76% a year earlier. These figures indicate that stronger business activity and sales helped JSW Steel deliver a substantially improved quarterly performance. The biggest concern: Coking coal prices Despite the strong results, investors need to watch raw-material costs. JSW Steel warned that coking coal prices could rise by around $25 per tonne during October–December 2026. Coking coal is a key input in conventional steelmaking, and higher prices can reduce profit margins if steel producers cannot pass on the additional costs. The company said it intends to use more domestically sourced coking coal to help manage expenses. It also expects Indian steel demand to grow by approximately 7–8% in fiscal year 2027, supported by construction and infrastructure activity.
