Suzlon Energy reports 69% profit decline in Q2!

Suzlon Energy reports 69% profit decline in Q2 Suzlon Energy reported a mixed Q2 FY27 performance. Revenue increased 26% year-on-year to ₹4,875 crore, but consolidated net profit declined 69% to ₹394 crore. The stock came under pressure following the announcement. Revenue growth indicates that business activity remains strong. However, EBITDA was almost unchanged despite higher revenue. The decline in EBITDA margin from 18.6% to 14.7% deserves attention. It suggests that higher sales have not translated into corresponding operating-profit growth. Suzlon also reported an order book of more than 6 GW and deliveries of 723 MW in the first half of FY27. The company's ability to execute these orders while protecting margins will be important. My view Suzlon's performance presents two different signals. 1. Revenue growth remains encouraging. 2. The large order book provides business visibility. 3. Operating margins need improvement. 4. The previous year's tax benefit makes the profit comparison look particularly weak. I would focus more on operating performance and cash generation than headline profit growth alone.
