Adani Green Q1 FY27: 20 GW Milestone, PAT Up 19%, EBITDA

ADANIGREEN
Adani Green Energy Limited reported Q1 FY27 results for the June 2026 quarter on 22 July. Q1 FY27 numbers (consolidated): Total income: Rs 4,663 crore, up 16.4% YoY; revenue from power supply Rs 4,280 crore, up 29% Power supply EBITDA: Rs 4,122 crore, up 33%; EBITDA margin 94% Consolidated PAT: Rs 983 crore, up 19.3% YoY; attributable PAT Rs 845 crore, up 18.5% Operational capacity: 20,142 MW, up 27% YoY, crossing 20 GW for the first time Energy sales: 13,657 million units, up 30%; BESS 3,551 MWh Khavda, Gujarat is the primary engine; AGEL targets 30 GW there by 2029 and 50 GW total by 2030. A 139 MW project operationalised on 1 September, taking capacity to 20,281 MW. Three independent directors were re-appointed at the 3 September EGM with over 99% support. Adani Green Energy [
ADANIGREEN
][***** shares closed at Rs 1,292.20 (9 Sep 2026, 03:59 PM IST), up 40 percent in a year, 20 percent below the Rs 1,618 high. P/E 119; P/B 11; sector P/E 22; no dividend. My view: a 94 percent power supply EBITDA margin is what a fully contracted, long-duration PPA book looks like. This is not an operating business at risk; it is a balance sheet leveraged to gigawatt additions. The question is whether 119x earnings is the right price when the sector trades at 22x and segment liabilities are Rs 1,22,443 crore. The 40 percent one-year return already prices in much of the 50 GW ambition. Hold; not a fresh entry at 5x the sector multiple. Levels: Rs 1,267 to 1,292 this week's base; Rs 1,165 to 1,200 the deeper support; Rs 1,618 the high. The project involves the installation of 64 units of Suzlon’s flagship S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3.15 MW, in Limbawas, Madhya Pradesh. With this order, the S144 platform has surpassed the 10 GW milestone in cumulative sales, underscoring strong market adoption of the technology. adani green wait for the retracement to add further

ADANIGREEN
Adani Green Energy (NSE: ADANIGREEN) is one of the strongest pure-play renewable-energy companies in India, but the stock needs to be viewed carefully because valuation, debt/capital intensity and execution are as important as its growth story. 1. Fundamental picture — Positive 🟢 The latest Q1 FY27 numbers are quite strong: Operational capacity: 20.1 GW, up 27% YoY Energy sales: 13,657 million units, up 30% Power-supply revenue: ₹4,280 crore, up 29% EBITDA: ₹4,122 crore, up 33% EBITDA margin: an exceptionally high 94% Cash profit: ₹2,225 crore, up 28% The major growth driver remains Khavda, where Adani Green is rapidly adding solar, wind, hybrid and battery-storage capacity. The company has also commissioned substantial battery-storage capacity and is targeting 50 GW renewable capacity by 2030, making the long-term growth opportunity very large. 2. Biggest positive trigger Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is particularly important. AGEL added 1,972 MWh of BESS capacity in Q1 FY27, taking installed BESS capacity to 3,551 MWh. The company is targeting more than 10,000 MWh by FY27. This can potentially improve the economics of renewable generation because storage helps address the intermittent nature of solar/wind power. 3. Technical view For trading, I would divide the chart into three zones rather than blindly chasing the stock after a rise. Bullish setup: If the stock is making higher highs + higher lows, and breakouts are accompanied by rising volume, the trend remains positive. Buy-on-dips setup: Rather than buying after a sharp vertical move, look for a retracement toward the 20-DMA / 50-DMA and see whether those levels act as support. Recent market coverage noted the stock was up around 37% over the year as of September 2, so chasing after a sharp run needs caution.
