Asahi India Glass - Ichimoku system pointing Up

ASAHIINDIA
trades at Rs 956, and this is the rare chart where all five Ichimoku components agree, which makes it a useful reference for what a fully aligned setup looks like. Price sits above the cloud, which spans Rs 885 to Rs 886. Price is above the Tenkan at Rs 952, and the Tenkan is above the Kijun at Rs 923, so short term momentum leads the medium term. The Chikou span is well clear of the price action from 26 sessions ago. Projecting forward, Span A at Rs 937 sits above Span B at Rs 902, so the cloud ahead is bullish and rising. The 50 EMA has climbed about 3.9% over the last 20 sessions, confirming the slope rather than just the position. When every component lines up this way, the reading is straightforward and there is no conflict to resolve. That is worth noticing precisely because it is uncommon. Most charts have at least one line arguing with the others. The earnings support it. Q1 FY27 revenue rose about 15% and consolidated profit after tax jumped to roughly Rs 149 Cr from around Rs 56 Cr a year earlier. Asahi supplies both automotive and architectural glass, so it carries auto production cycles on one side and construction demand on the other, with energy costs a meaningful input given glass is furnace intensive. The risks are a slowdown in auto volumes and any sharp move in fuel prices. The stock is up about 8% over 60 sessions and sits under 2% below its 60 day high of Rs 974. Above Rs 974 the setup strengthens further. Below the Kijun at Rs 923 it weakens, and a move back into the cloud would end the alignment.

6 Auto Ancillary Stocks That Dominate Their Niche

India’s auto ancillary industry has several companies with high market shares in specialised product categories, giving them a strong position within their respective niches. Key Players • Gabriel India: 88% market share in commercial vehicle suspension. • Asahi India Glass: 79% market share in passenger vehicle automotive glass. • Precision Camshafts: 70% market share in passenger vehicle camshafts. • Jamna Auto Industries: 65% market share in commercial vehicle leaf springs and suspension. • Carraro India: 60–65% market share in non-captive construction vehicle transmissions. • Suprajit Engineering: 60% market share in two-wheeler automotive cables. Why It Matters Auto ancillary companies often operate in highly specialised segments where technical expertise, established OEM relationships, manufacturing capabilities and product quality can create significant competitive advantages. High market share in a niche can indicate a company’s strong positioning within that particular product category. However, market leadership alone does not determine investment attractiveness—customer concentration, industry cycles, margins, valuation and the ability to maintain market share also matter. These six companies highlight how different auto-component manufacturers have built leadership positions across suspension systems, automotive glass, camshafts, transmissions and cables.

Today's Market Movers & Shakers

Among the shortlisted stocks, Oracle Financial Services Software (

OFSS
) and
MOTHERSON
stand out as the strongest momentum candidates, supported by robust price gains, significant volume expansion, and trading comfortably above both their 21-day and 50-day moving averages, indicating strong institutional participation.
ASAHIINDIA
also looks attractive, combining the highest price gain with heavy volumes while finding support near its 50-day moving average, offering a favourable risk-reward setup. Ashok Leyland remains constructive with healthy price action and support at the 50-day moving average, though its volume participation is comparatively lower. TVS Motor also closed positively, but relatively muted volume expansion suggests that buying conviction is not as strong as in the other names. Overall, OFSS, Samvardhana Motherson, and Asahi India Glass appear to be the strongest technical setups for further monitoring.
