Bajel Projects Secures ₹600 Crore+ Transmission Order, Strengthening High-Voltage Infrastructure Portfolio

Bajel Projects Ltd has strengthened its position in India’s power transmission infrastructure segment by securing an ultra-mega order worth more than ₹600 crore under the WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A. The TL05 package involves the construction of 765kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Raigarh (Tamnar), Raigarh (Kotra) and Dharamjaygarh in Chhattisgarh, aimed at improving power evacuation between the Western and Eastern regions of the national grid. The latest win follows additional orders of more than ₹700 crore secured from Power Grid during the week, comprising an ultra-mega order of ₹400 crore and a mega order of over ₹300 crore. Under Bajel Projects’ classification, orders of ₹300 crore to ₹400 crore are considered mega, while orders of ₹400 crore and above qualify as ultra-mega. Another major package, TL06-LILO of Ranchi, involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of new 400kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Jamshedpur (New) with Ranchi (New) and New PPSP, while the TL02 package covers a new 765kV double-circuit transmission line from Raigarh (Tamnar) to Jamshedpur (New), Part II. Collectively, these projects are expected to strengthen grid connectivity across Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand and support greater power flow between the Western and Eastern regions. From an analyst’s perspective, the order wins improve Bajel Projects’ visibility in high-capacity transmission infrastructure and highlight the company’s growing participation in strategic grid-expansion projects, although the ultimate financial impact will depend on execution and order conversion over the project lifecycle.
