Balkrishna Industries approves ₹550 Cr NCD Issue

BALKRISIND
has approved the issuance of ₹550 crore worth of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, marking a significant debt-raising initiative for the company. The proposed NCDs will be listed on the BSE, providing investors with a regulated platform for trading the securities. The issue will comprise three separate series, with maturities ranging from approximately 1 year and 11 months to 4 years, offering different investment tenures. The fundraising is expected to strengthen the company’s financial flexibility and provide additional resources for its ongoing business and capital requirements. As a major manufacturer of off-highway tyres, Balkrishna Industries operates across agricultural, industrial, construction, mining and other specialised tyre segments. The NCD structure allows the company to raise funds without diluting existing equity shareholders, while the staggered maturities provide flexibility in managing repayment obligations. For investors, the key factors to monitor will include the coupon rates, allocation across the three series, utilisation of proceeds, and the company’s overall leverage and interest-cost trajectory following the fundraise. Overall, the announcement indicates access to institutional debt markets and could support BKT’s liquidity and funding requirements over the medium term.

Balkrishna Industries Ltd – Bullish Reversal Setup

BALKRISIND
The stock is showing signs of recovery after successfully holding its key support zone, indicating improving buying interest from lower levels. The recent price action suggests that buyers are gradually becoming active, while the short-term structure is attempting to shift towards a recovery phase. If the stock continues to sustain above the important support area and manages to build momentum, further upside movement may be possible in the near term. 🔎 Technical View: • The stock has witnessed a strong bounce from the key support zone. • Fresh buying interest is becoming visible from lower levels. • Buying momentum appears to be improving gradually. • A short-term recovery structure is currently developing. • Sustained price action above the immediate resistance could strengthen the recovery setup. 🔑 Key Levels: • Support: ₹2,320–₹2,241 • Resistance: ₹2,400–₹2,478 🚀 Upside Targets: ₹2,558 | ₹2,637+ 📉 Risk Level: A sustained move below ₹2,320 may indicate renewed weakness and could invalidate the current short-term recovery structure. 📈 View: Sustained trading above ₹2,400 may trigger fresh upside momentum, while a decisive move above ₹2,478 could further strengthen the positive setup and open the possibility of higher levels. Balkrishna Industries (BKT) is one of those companies where the long-term story looks much more interesting than the short-term noise.

BALKRISIND
BKT has built a strong global position in the Off-Highway Tyre (OHT) segment, serving agriculture, construction, mining and industrial applications. Its global footprint, established brand and manufacturing scale create meaningful entry barriers. But the bigger opportunity, in my view, is BKT 2.0. The company is gradually moving beyond its traditional OHT franchise into Truck & Bus Radial (TBR), Passenger Car Radial (PCR) and other on-highway categories. Management is targeting ₹5,000 crore of on-highway revenue by FY30, which could materially expand BKT's addressable market. The company is also investing aggressively in capacity and backward integration. BKT has approved an additional ₹2,000 crore capex for capacity expansion, infrastructure, automation and sustainability. Its carbon-black capacity is expected to be completed in Q1 FY27, while additional OHT and PCR facilities are progressing. The recent numbers also provide reasons for optimism. In Q1 FY27, consolidated PAT reportedly increased 50% YoY to ₹432 crore, showing a strong recovery in profitability. Of course, the story isn't risk-free. Raw-material inflation, freight costs, currency movements and global demand remain key variables. Margins were under pressure in FY26, and the company still needs to execute its massive expansion successfully. But that's exactly what makes the opportunity interesting. Strong OHT franchise + global exports + capacity expansion + backward integration + entry into the much larger on-highway market = a potentially powerful long-term compounding story. I’m bullish on BKT not because I expect a quick rally, but because I believe the earnings opportunity over the next 3–5 years could look very different from today. For me, BKT is a business-transformation story disguised as a tyre company. Not a buy/sell recommendation. Do your own research before investing.
