IREDA NET PROFIT GROWS TO Rs 554 CRORE IN SEPTEMBER QUARTER

State-owned company

IREDA
has posted a marginal rise in its standalone net profit to Rs 554 crore for the September quarter this financial year, as compared to a net profit of Rs 549 crore in the September quarter of the preceding financial year. In the same quarter, the company's revenue from operations rose 14% to Rs 2,345 crore from Rs 2,057 crore a year ago. Loan disbursement increased 31% to Rs 10,579 crore against Rs 8,062 crore in the year ago quarter. Loan disbursements rise 31% profit growth remains muted

IREDA
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited reported standalone net profit of ₹554 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹549 crore a year earlier, representing growth of approximately 1%. Revenue from operations increased 14% to ₹2,345 crore, while loan disbursements rose 31% to ₹10,579 crore. The outstanding loan book reached approximately ₹97,411 crore. Gross NPA improved to 3.57% from 3.97% a year earlier, while net NPA declined to 1.08% from 1.97%. Why this matters Strong loan disbursement growth reflects continued financing demand from renewable-energy projects. Improving NPA ratios are also encouraging. However, profit growth was much slower than revenue growth, indicating that expenses and provisioning deserve closer examination. The company has also disclosed fraud cases in its reporting, so investors should review the associated filings and potential financial implications carefully. <Link url="***** title="Source: IREDA filings summary"/>. What to monitor next Loan-book growth and disbursement quality. Interest income versus funding costs. Gross and net NPA trends. Provisions, expenses and credit costs. Cash flow, capital adequacy and return on equity. My analytical view: IREDA's lending growth remains strong, but the gap between revenue growth and profit growth is the key concern. Sustainable earnings improvement will require stronger cost control alongside continued asset-quality progress. Risk to the thesis: Higher expenses, project-related credit stress or further provisioning could constrain profitability despite rising loan disbursements. IREDA Q2 FY27 Results: Loan Disbursements Jump 31%!

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), a government-owned financial institution focused on renewable-energy financing, has reported growth in loan disbursements and total income. However, its net profit remained broadly flat year-on-year. ### 1. What happened? I - **Net profit:** Approximately ₹549–₹552 crore, broadly unchanged year-on-year. - **Total income:** ₹2,346 crore, up 14% from ₹2,057 crore. - **Loan disbursements:** ₹10,579 crore, up 31% year-on-year. - **Loan book:** Increased 15% year-on-year. ### 2. Four key points investors should understand **Point 1: Loan disbursements are accelerating** The 31% rise in quarterly loan disbursements indicates increased financing activity. Renewable-energy developers require funding for solar, wind, hydro and other clean-energy projects, creating potential demand for specialist lenders. **Point 2: Income growth is positive** Total income increased 14% year-on-year. This suggests continued expansion in IREDA's lending activity, although income growth needs to translate into sustainable profit growth. **Point 3: Profit growth remains a concern** Net profit was broadly flat despite higher income and disbursements. Investors should investigate whether funding costs, operating expenses, provisions or other factors affected profitability. **Point 4: Renewable energy offers a long-term opportunity** India's clean-energy expansion can create financing opportunities for IREDA. However, the pace of loan growth alone does not establish the quality or profitability of its lending portfolio. ### 3. What should investors watch next? 1. Loan-book growth and future disbursements. 2. Net interest margin and borrowing costs. 3. Gross and net non-performing assets. 4. Provisioning, credit quality and project repayment risks. 5. Capital adequacy and the company's ability to fund further growth.

IREDA Q2 revenue rises 13.59% YoY to ₹2,340 crore

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (NSE: IREDA)

IREDA
reported Q2 [add FY] revenue of ₹2,340 crore, against ₹2,060 crore in the same quarter last year. That is a rise of about 13.59% YoY. The company lends to solar, wind and storage projects. Its revenue mostly follows how much it has lent and at what rate. A 13.59% rise points to a loan book that kept growing through the quarter. The data I have does not split the gain between loan growth and yield, so I cannot say which did more. My view: Revenue growth alone is half the picture for a lender. The better test is whether income grew faster than borrowing costs and bad loans. Revenue is up ₹280 crore YoY, which is a good start. Profit, net interest margin and gross NPA for the quarter would show how much of it reaches the bottom line. Renewable projects take years to build, so stress can show up late. What I am watching: Over the next 0 to 3 months: the next loan disbursement update, asset quality numbers, and borrowing cost trends for PSU lenders. Higher funding costs would squeeze the spread even if revenue keeps rising. IREDA: Loan growth must translate into asset quality

IREDA
: Loan growth must translate into asset quality Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (NSE: IREDA) finances renewable energy projects, making its growth closely linked to India's clean-energy investment cycle. **Why it matters:** A growing loan book can support interest income, but rapid disbursements also require careful assessment of borrower repayment capacity, project execution and concentration risks. **My view:** IREDA's long-term opportunity depends on disciplined lending, stable funding costs and timely recovery of dues. Loan growth alone is not enough; asset quality and profitability must improve alongside it. **What to watch:** Loan sanctions versus disbursements, non-performing assets, net interest margin, borrowing costs and quarterly profit growth. **Stance:** The renewable-energy financing theme is supportive, but valuation should be assessed against earnings growth and asset quality rather than sector potential alone. Understanding Renewable Capacity and Commercial Operations

NTPC Ltd. disclosed a new renewable-energy development on 12 October 2026 concerning a proposed transfer of shares. Its recent corporate announcements also recorded the commercial operation of additional capacity at the Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Rajasthan on 10 October 2026, through a subsidiary structure. Commercial operation is an important milestone because it marks the point at which a project begins operating commercially under the applicable declaration. Investors studying

NTPC
should monitor installed capacity, plant availability, power generation, project execution, renewable-energy additions and debt levels. They should also distinguish between capacity announced, capacity under construction and capacity that has actually commenced commercial operation.
