Glenmark Pharma Gains 3.62%: Bullish Momentum Returns

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals witnessed strong buying interest in today's session, surging 3.62% to close at ₹2,382. The stock has staged a sharp recovery from its recent October lows, indicating renewed buying interest and improving technical momentum. From a technical perspective, the stock has reclaimed all its key moving averages. It is trading above the 10 EMA (₹2,289.70), 20 EMA (₹2,288.50), 50 EMA (₹2,309.80), 100 SMA (₹2,292.80) and 200 SMA (₹2,224.70). This positive alignment reflects an improving short-term structure, while the position above the 200 SMA keeps the broader trend constructive. Momentum indicators are also supporting the recovery. RSI has climbed to 58.79, well above its average of 44.01, indicating strengthening bullish momentum. MACD has turned positive at 19.52, with a bullish crossover and expanding green histogram bars, suggesting that buying momentum is gaining traction. ADX stands at 30.21, indicating a relatively strong trend environment. However, traders should monitor whether the current momentum sustains in the coming sessions. The Bollinger Bands show the middle band near ₹2,261.30 and the upper band around ₹2,367.80. The latest close above the upper band highlights strong buying pressure, although short-term consolidation or volatility cannot be ruled out. Key Technical Levels: Immediate Support: ₹2,367–2,350 Strong Support: ₹2,310–2,290 Major Support: ₹2,225 Immediate Resistance: ₹2,400–2,420 Next Resistance: ₹2,500–2,543 My View: Glenmark Pharma is showing a promising technical recovery, backed by a bullish MACD crossover, improving RSI and a strong ADX reading. The reclaiming of all major moving averages is encouraging. A sustained move above ₹2,400–2,420 could open the door for further upside towards ₹2,500 and potentially ₹2,543. Traders should watch for sustained buying volumes and avoid chasing sharp price spikes. Disclosure: The analyst or his family does not have any position in the stock.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals analysis on different parameters

GLENMARK
Quality :- Glenmark Pharmaceuticals continues to demonstrate a solid quality profile, supported by its robust ability to service debt. The company’s Debt to EBITDA ratio stands at a notably low 0.13 times, indicating a conservative leverage position and strong financial discipline. This low leverage reduces financial risk and provides flexibility for future investments or operational needs. Valuation :- The valuation aspect remains a strong point for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. The company’s Price to Book Value ratio is at 6.2, which is considered very attractive relative to its sector peers. This valuation discount suggests that the market may be pricing in some of the recent earnings softness, potentially offering a margin of safety for investors analysing the stock’s fundamentals. Financial :- The financial trend for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is characterised as flat in the latest assessment. While the company has demonstrated consistent returns over the medium term, the recent quarterly earnings dip and increased interest costs have tempered the outlook. The flat trend reflects a cautious stance on near-term earnings momentum, balancing the company’s strong fundamentals against short-term challenges. Technical :- From a technical perspective, the stock exhibits mildly bullish characteristics. Recent price movements show mixed signals, with a one-day decline of 1.07% contrasting with a one-week gain of 8.38% and a three-month increase of 4.66%. The six-month period shows a modest decline of 4.06%, while the year-to-date return stands at 13.37%. These figures suggest that while short-term volatility exists, the overall technical momentum remains cautiously positive.

Glenmark rallies above 20-DMA but nears overbought zone

Glenmark pharmaceuticals closed near ₹2,299 after a strong rebound from the recent ₹2,150–₹2,200 support zone. The stock has moved above its 20-day moving average near ₹2,259, showing that short-term momentum has improved. However, it remains below the 55-day moving average around ₹2,349, which is the key resistance for a broader recovery. The stochastic oscillator is near overbought territory, with %K around 90.6 and %D near 82.9. This confirms strong buying momentum, but it also signals that the rally may face profit-booking near resistance. The current setup is positive in the short term, yet chasing the move near ₹2,350 can be risky without a clear breakout. ₹2,350 is the crucial level to watch in

GLENMARK
. A sustained close above it can extend the recovery toward ₹2,400–₹2,450. If the stock fails to cross ₹2,350, it may consolidate back toward ₹2,300 and the 20-day average near ₹2,259. The technical picture has improved, but the trend is not fully reversed until Glenmark moves above ₹2,350. The ideal confirmation would be a breakout above this level with the stochastic remaining strong rather than turning down sharply.

Valuation :- a valuation standpoint, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals presents an attractive proposition. The company’s Return on Equity (ROE) is recorded at 26.9%, signalling efficient utilisation of shareholder capital. This strong ROE underpins the company’s capacity to generate returns above its cost of equity, a positive indicator for investors. Financial :- The financial trend for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals appears relatively flat in the most recent quarter, with earnings showing a decline compared to prior periods. Despite this, the company’s consistent ability to generate positive returns over the last three years is noteworthy. It has outperformed the BSE500 index in each of the last three annual periods, reflecting resilience amid sector volatility. Technical :- Technically, the stock exhibits mildly bullish characteristics. The recent one-day price change of +0.49% contrasts with a one-month decline of 9.40%, indicating some short-term volatility. Over longer horizons, the stock’s performance has been more stable, with a year-to-date return of 9.03% and a one-year return of 19.62%. These figures suggest that while the stock has experienced some near-term pressure, it maintains underlying support from broader market trends.

MACRO DATA--> UPDATE THAT BENEFIT THIS SECTORS STOCKS!

India’s foreign exchange reserves have witnessed another sharp decline. For the week ended September 25, 2026, India’s forex reserves fell by $18.34 billion to around $747.56 billion. This was the third consecutive weekly decline, with reserves falling by more than $38 billion over three weeks from the record high of around $785.71 billion reached earlier in September. But the bigger question for investors is: What does falling forex reserves mean for the Rupee and Indian stocks? Why Did Forex Reserves Fall? The biggest decline came from Foreign Currency Assets (FCAs). Foreign Currency Assets ↓ $15.57 billion to around $615.41 billion Gold reserves also declined by around $2.59 billion to approximately $108.70 billion. The fall comes amid pressure on the Indian Rupee, with the RBI intervening in the foreign exchange market to manage excessive currency volatility. ---->🇮🇳 What Does This Mean for the Rupee? The important transmission mechanism is: Forex Pressure → Rupee Pressure → USD/INR Moves Higher If the Rupee weakens against the US Dollar, companies that earn a significant portion of their revenue in dollars can benefit when those revenues are converted back into Rupees. This creates an important distinction: Weak Rupee = Negative for Importers --->IT AND PHARMA Sector Could Benefit

LUPIN
GLENMARK SUNPHARMA INFOSYS COFORGE PERSISTENT HCLTECH --->Bottom Line India still has a very large forex reserve cushion, but the recent decline highlights renewed pressure on the Rupee. The $18.34 billion weekly decline is important, but investors should not look at the reserve number in isolation. The bigger market signal is the interaction between: Rupee + Crude Oil + RBI Intervention + FII Flows + Global Dollar Strength
