Hariom Pipe Industries launches two solar plants

Hariom Pipe Industries Limited

HARIOMPIPE
has commissioned two solar plants with a combined 10 MW AC capacity in Hingoli district, Maharashtra. Its total operating solar capacity is now 15 MW. What happened: The plants are at Pusegaon and Jaipur, under the state’s MSKVY 2.0 scheme. The other 5 MW is a project at Rupur Tanda, commissioned in July 2026. The July project is described as starting grid exports. Why it matters: Solar power is meant to lower power cost for the company’s steel tube and pipe units, according to the company’s framing. For scale, FY26 revenue was ₹1,666.95 crore and net profit was ₹75.83 crore, a net margin of about 4.5%. My view: The key question is who uses this power. The company calls it captive, but the earlier project exports to the grid, and MSKVY schemes generally sell solar power to the state utility. If so, this is a power-selling income line, not a cut in the plants’ own electricity bills. That matters for how it affects margins. My data does not give the tariff, contract length, project cost or the share of its own power use. I cannot size either the savings or the revenue. At 15 MW, the plants are small next to a ₹1,667 crore revenue business. Output also varies by season, so the quarterly gains will not be even. What I am watching: Details of the offtake terms, the tariff and cost of the projects, and any change in power cost or other income in the next quarterly results. Please note that the information shared is intended solely for informational purposes and does not make any investment recommendations.

Close crossing last Month High Strategy

HARIOMPIPE
is trading near its previous month high. • This strategy focuses on stocks that close above the previous month’s high, which often signals fresh momentum and strong buying interest. • A decisive close above this level indicates that the stock is breaking a key resistance zone, potentially starting a new upward trend. • Traders usually look for strong volume, market support, and the stock trading above important moving averages to confirm the breakout strength. • For risk management, many traders place a stop loss slightly below the breakout level* while aiming to capture *short to medium-term momentum moves. *Disclaimer*: Investments in the securities market are subject to market risks, read all the related documents carefully before investing

Hariom Pipe continues to look compelling to me from a long-term perspective

HARIOMPIPE
Mainly because the company has been executing a tightly integrated business model that gives it a real structural edge. By controlling the entire value chain—from manufacturing billets to producing finished steel pipes—the company avoids the margin volatility that many peers face and consistently delivers more stable profitability. Capacity expansion, both completed and pipeline, signals management’s confidence in growing demand from infrastructure, construction, and rural markets. Their steady push into higher-value products, improved utilisation levels, and focus on operating efficiency further strengthen the growth narrative. Debt levels remain manageable, and the company has repeatedly shown discipline in balancing expansion with financial prudence, which adds to my conviction. What makes me increasingly optimistic is how Hariom Pipe is positioning itself for the next leg of industry growth. India’s ongoing capex cycle, housing demand revival, and thriving MSME ecosystem are all strong tailwinds for steel tubes and structural products. The company’s branding efforts, distribution deepening, and entry into newer geographies are creating a wider market footprint. As more capacity comes online, operating leverage could meaningfully improve margins over the medium term. Combined with sound execution, a clear growth roadmap, and strengthening fundamentals, Hariom Pipe appears well placed to scale meaningfully in the coming years. Overall, it stands out as a steady compounder candidate in the steel pipes space, and the risk-reward looks attractive for long-term investors.
