FOCUS STOCKS""

IPO UPDATE----> ₹10,778 Crore Valuation! Is Milky Mist India's Next Dairy Giant?

Milky Mist Dairy Food IPO opens on 11 August 2026, with the issue running until 13 August. The company has fixed the price band at ₹133–₹140 per share, with an issue size of around ₹1,553 crore. Shares are expected to list on BSE and NSE on 18 August .the interesting part is not just the IPO. Milky Mist is trying to build a national dairy brand around value-added and premium products rather than competing only in traditional milk. ##What Does Milky Mist Actually Do? Milky Mist is a Tamil Nadu-based dairy and food company with a portfolio of 400+ products. Its products include: • Paneer • Cheese • Curd • Milk-based beverages • Greek yogurt • Ice cream • Dairy desserts • Protein-focused products The company has expanded from a regional dairy player into a much broader value-added dairy and FMCG business. ------>But There Are Risks The IPO isn't without concerns. Competition Milky Mist is entering a highly competitive market against established players such as: •

HATSUN
• !Heritage Foods • !Dodla Dairy • !PARAG MILK FOODS • Large national FMCG companies ------>IPO Structure The revised ₹1,553 crore issue includes approximately: ₹1,428 crore Fresh Issue ₹125 crore Offer for Sale The IPO size was reduced from the company's earlier plan of around ₹2,035 crore, following the pre-listing Temasek transaction and founder stake sale. ------>The Bigger Theme The real investment story here is not simply "another dairy IPO." It is: Traditional Dairy → Value-Added Dairy → Premium Food → Protein & Nutrition Indian consumers are increasingly spending on higher-value dairy products such as cheese, paneer, Greek yogurt and protein-oriented foods. @@Bottom Line The FY26 numbers are encouraging, and the Temasek backing adds another layer of credibility. But at a valuation of around ₹10,778 crore, investors will need to decide whether the company's growth potential justifies the price.

Market Outlook – 16 July

Indian markets are likely to witness a range-bound session with a mild negative bias as traders remain cautious ahead of several key Q1 earnings. While lower volatility is supporting market stability, stock-specific action is expected to dominate today's trade. Technically, Nifty continues to trade above its short-term moving averages, but it is facing resistance near 24,200–24,250. A sustained move above this zone could open the door towards 24,400, while a break below 24,000 may trigger selling towards 23,850. Bank Nifty is also holding above its key averages, with immediate resistance at 58,000–58,200 and support around 57,400–57,300. Derivatives data suggests a cautious undertone. Nifty PCR stands at 0.78 and Bank Nifty PCR at 0.85, indicating Call writers continue to dominate. India VIX has eased to 13.3, pointing to lower volatility and supporting a range-bound market. Strong Call writing is visible around 24,100–24,200 on Nifty and 58,000 on Bank Nifty, while Put writing near 24,000 and 57,500 is providing downside support. The Max Pain levels of 24,100 and 58,000 further reinforce the possibility of expiry-related consolidation around these levels. Sector-wise, Power & Capital Goods and Financial Services are expected to remain in focus with BHEL and Jio Financial Services announcing Q1 results today. Meanwhile, the IT sector may stay volatile as Wipro and Tech Mahindra report earnings, while Polycab India's results could keep the Cables & Electricals space active. Other key companies announcing Q1 earnings today include ITC Hotels, CEAT, Piramal Finance, South Indian Bank, Newgen Software, Borosil Renewables, Heritage Foods, Alok Industries, and DB Corp. Overall, unless Nifty sustains above 24,250 and Bank Nifty crosses 58,200, the market is likely to remain range-bound with a mild negative bias. Considering the low VIX and Max Pain setup, Iron Condor remains the preferred options strategy for today's session.

1. India’s organised dairy sector is expected to post 13–15% revenue growth this fiscal, driven by 8–10% volume growth and phased price hikes, with demand led by everyday staples such as ghee, butter and other value-added dairy products rather than liquid milk alone. 2. The trend is positive for listed dairy players such as

PARAGMILK
,
HERITGFOOD
and
HATSUN
uct, as a richer mix of value-added products typically supports stronger revenue growth and pricing power despite higher raw milk procurement costs.

HERITGFOOD
: De-risking Dairy Through Value-Added Products

HERITGFOOD
is intentionally pivoting away from volatile bulk commodity dairy sales toward higher-margin Value-Added Products (VAP). This structural transformation aims to reduce the business's vulnerability to inherent dairy cycles and provide cleaner earnings visibility. Resilient Financial Performance: Despite severe sector headwinds in FY26—including a weak flush season, milk scarcity, and elevated procurement costs—the company delivered a resilient 9.5% revenue growth. While inflation compressed EBITDA margins to 5.9%, brand equity allowed for calibrated price increases that sustained consumer demand. VAP Driving Margin Expansion: Value-added products and consumer fats now constitute over 40% of revenues. Driven by an urban consumer shift from homemade to packaged curd, paneer, and ghee, these high-margin categories are scaling rapidly and could comprise more than half of total revenue within four to five years. Ice Cream as a Strategic Growth Lever: The commissioning of a new greenfield ice cream facility in Hyderabad, combined with the acquisition of a majority stake in the premium brand Get-A-Way, positions ice cream as a major future earnings driver. Heritage aims to scale ice cream revenues five-fold to over Rs 500 crore by FY30. Easing Inflationary Pressures: While milk procurement costs remain high, supply availability is beginning to normalize in key regions. As the sector approaches the peak of its inflation cycle, downside risks to profitability are diminishing, though extreme weather patterns remain the primary threat to a full supply recovery. Attractive Valuation Dynamics: Trading at 16x FY28E earnings, the stock offers a reasonable valuation. Operating leverage from new capacities, paired with an improved product mix, positions the company for a more durable and sustainable profitability recovery compared to previous industry cycles.
