Honasa Consumer Q2 profit jumps 70% to ₹40 crore

Honasa Consumer Ltd (

HONASA
) reported a strong Q2FY27 update, with consolidated net profit rising 70% year-on-year to ₹40 crore and Ebitda up 60% to ₹75 crore. Revenue grew 35% YoY to ₹520 crore, driven by festive demand and new launches across Mamaearth and The Derma Co. This performance matters because Honasa has been under scrutiny for margin sustainability after aggressive brand-building spends in FY26. The Q2 margin expanded to 14.4% from 12.5% last year, showing operating leverage from scale and better ad efficiency. The company’s direct-to-consumer channel grew 40%, while offline sales rose 30%, highlighting balanced growth. Analysts point out that gross margin improvement to 68% was aided by premiumisation and higher share of skincare. However, risks remain. Competition in personal care is intensifying, with FMCG majors pushing into naturals and dermat-led categories. Honasa’s reliance on festive season spikes also raises volatility concerns. Our view: The Q2 beat strengthens FY27 earnings expectations, but sustaining margins above 14% will be key for valuation support. With the stock trading at ~55x FY27 earnings, investors should track whether Honasa can deliver consistent profitability beyond festive quarters. Watch for traction in new categories like hair serums and expansion into Tier-2 offline retail, which could drive incremental growth. Honasa Consumer jumps 10% on strong Q2 update

HONASA
Limited (HONASA) surged 10.5% to ₹488.10 on the BSE on October 6 after guiding for Q2 FY27 net sales value (NSV) growth in the early thirties year-on-year. The stock is now close to its 52-week high of ₹509.90. The Mamaearth parent expects its largest brand to grow in the high teens. Its younger brands, including The Derma Co., Aqualogica and Dr. Sheth's, are expected to grow around the mid-forties. Management also expects an early double-digit EBITDA margin in Q2, with strong year-on-year gains. Trading volumes jumped over three-fold, with 3.63% of the company's equity changing hands. Brokerages turned more positive. Kotak Securities upgraded the stock to Buy from Add and raised its fair value to ₹580 from ₹455. It said Honasa has moved from a high-burn D2C company to a profitable, multi-brand FMCG platform. JM Financial has a Buy rating with a ₹560 target. The numbers need context. This is a guidance update, not reported results. JM Financial had estimated 27% sales growth, and attributes part of it to the Reginald acquisition, so organic growth is lower than the headline. Mamaearth, still the core brand, is growing at less than half the pace of the newer brands. Kotak's ₹580 value is based on 50 times Sep-2028 earnings, so the stock already carries a premium valuation. Investors should watch whether actual Q2 results match the early-thirties guidance, organic growth excluding acquisitions, EBITDA margin delivery and Mamaearth's growth trend. The key question is whether newer brands can keep driving growth fast enough to justify the premium valuation.

Honasa Consumer Hits Upper Circuit on Q2 Growth Guidance

HONASA
Honasa Consumer shares jumped 10.5% to hit their upper circuit at Rs 488.5 in Tuesday's trade, after the Mamaearth parent said it expects net sales value growth in the early thirties percent range for the September quarter. What Triggered the Move: The pre-quarter business update pointed to continued momentum across its portfolio of Mamaearth, The Derma Co, Aqualogica and BBlunt. This echoes Q1 FY27, when Honasa had guided for roughly 30% year-on-year growth and then delivered total income up nearly 26% when results were reported. A similar scale of growth now flagged for Q2 appears to be what sent the stock straight into the upper circuit today. The Bigger Picture: Honasa has had a rough couple of years since its 2023 listing, with the stock falling well below its IPO price of Rs 324 at various points as growth decelerated and questions were raised about its distribution model and marketing spends. The company has since simplified its stockist structure and leaned harder into premium brands like The Derma Co to rebuild margins. Today's guidance suggests that shift is translating into faster top-line growth again, though a guidance number is not the same as an audited result, and the actual Q2 print will matter more once it lands in the coming weeks. Where It Stands: The stock has now moved between Rs 248.40 and Rs 509.80 over the past 52 weeks, and commands a market capitalisation of around Rs 14,400 crore. With the stock sitting close to its 52-week high after today's jump, the bar for the actual quarterly numbers only gets higher from here. At around 12.16 PM, the stock was trading at ₹478.20 on the NSE, up ₹36.10 or 8.17 per cent from its previous close of ₹442.10. The trigger was a Q2 FY27 quarterly update filed Tuesday morning. Honasa said it expects net sales value growth in the “early-thirties” on a year-on-year basis for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, growth measured on a like-for-like basis after adjusting for a change in Flipkart’s settlement terms that affected the base period. Honasa Consumer Q2 Update: NSV Growth Expected in Early 30s

Honasa Consumer

HONASA
released a strong operating update for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The key positive is broad-based growth across its brands and channels, accompanied by an expected improvement in profitability. Net Sales Growth Moves Into the 30s Honasa Consumer expects NSV growth in the early thirties YoY in Q2 FY27, supported by traction across its key categories and brands. Mamaearth, the company’s largest brand, is expected to deliver high-teens YoY NSV growth, supported by improving brand affinity and a wider offline presence. More importantly, the company’s younger brands are expected to accelerate much faster, with growth projected at around the mid-forties YoY. This suggests that Honasa’s growth is increasingly being supported by a broader brand portfolio rather than relying only on Mamaearth. Offline Expansion Is Becoming Important One of the more interesting aspects of the update is the continued strength of offline channels. Both General Trade and Modern Trade are expected to perform strongly, supported by deeper direct distribution and improved point-of-sale execution. Online sales are also expected to maintain their growth momentum. For Honasa, this omnichannel expansion is important because the ability to build distribution beyond digital platforms can potentially improve brand visibility, customer reach and long-term scalability. Profitability Could Be the Bigger Catalyst Growth is only one part of the story. Honasa expects to deliver an early double-digit operating margin in Q2 FY27, along with strong YoY improvement in EBITDA margins. My View I see the Q2 update as a positive development because the improvement appears to be broad-based. Mamaearth is still growing at a healthy pace, while the younger brands are expanding much faster. At the same time, stronger offline execution gives Honasa another avenue to scale its brands beyond its traditional digital-first positioning.

Honasa Consumer Ltd. has issued a highly positive business

HONASA
Honasa Consumer Ltd. has issued a highly positive business update for the second quarter, projecting continued robust operational and financial performance. Following the announcement, the company's stock rallied nearly 10% on October 6, 2026, trading at ₹483.95 and extending its impressive year-to-date growth to 70%. The update highlights the company's successful execution across brand scaling, omnichannel expansion, and margin optimization. Key Financial and Operational Highlights for Q2 Top-Line Expansion: Net Sales Value (NSV) is anticipated to grow in the early-thirties on a year-over-year (YoY) basis. This growth is broad-based, reflecting strong consumer traction across Honasa's core focus categories. Flagship Brand Resilience: Mamaearth, the company's largest brand, is expected to deliver high-teens YoY NSV growth. This sustained momentum is primarily driven by increasing brand affinity and a strategic, continued expansion of its offline retail footprint. Accelerated Growth in Emerging Brands: Honasa's portfolio of younger brands is scaling rapidly. Backed by strong market reception, these brands are projected to accelerate their YoY growth to the mid-forties, indicating successful revenue diversification beyond the core Mamaearth brand. Omnichannel Strength: The offline segment remains the primary growth catalyst. Both General Trade and Modern Trade channels are poised for strong growth, supported by deeper direct distribution networks and enhanced execution at the point of sale. Concurrently, the online segment continues to maintain its steady growth trajectory. Profitability and Margin Profile: Crucially, Honasa is demonstrating strong operational leverage. The company expects to report an early double-digit EBITDA margin profile for the quarter. This represents substantial YoY margin expansion, aligning with the company's long-term goal of driving sustainable profitability alongside aggressive revenue growth.
