Steel Exchange India Limited is an India-based manufacturer of thermo mechanically treated (TMT) rebars under the brand Simhadri TMT. The Company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of steel products and allied activities. Its segments include Steel and Power. The Steel segment includes production and marketing operations of sponge iron, billets & rebars (TMT). The Power segment includes generation and marketing operations of thermal and gas-based power. Simhadri TMT rebars are available in grades Fe500D, Fe550D and Fe500D CRS and sizes range from eight millimeters to 32 millimeters. Its manufacturing facilities include integrated steel plant (ISP) which is located close to Visakhapatnam and the SMS & Power Unit at Kothapeta. The ISP has an approximately 220000 MTPA sponge iron unit, 250000 MTPA steel melt shop, 225000 MTPA rolling mill and 60 megawatts (MW) co-generation power plant. The SMS & Power Unit has around 11.84 MW gas-based power plant and 90000 MTPA steel melt shop.
