SPLPETRO

Financial results for the quarter ending March 2026 marked a positive development after three consecutive quarters of subdued performance. Net sales reached a quarterly high of ₹1,587.02 crores, while PBDIT also peaked at ₹253.23 crores. The operating profit margin to net sales ratio improved to 15.96%, signalling enhanced operational leverage. Despite these gains, the stock’s one-year return remains negative at -13.44%, with profits declining by approximately 14.3% over the same period. This divergence between recent quarterly improvement and longer-term financial trends likely influenced the revision in the company’s evaluation. The technical assessment of Supreme Petrochem Ltd remains mildly bullish, reflecting some positive momentum in price action despite recent volatility. The stock’s short-term performance shows mixed results, with a 1-month gain of 2.65% contrasting with a 3-month decline of 1.60%. Over six months and year-to-date periods, returns are more favourable at approximately 11.85% and 11.98% respectively, yet the one-year performance remains negative at -13.44%. This underperformance relative to the broader BSE500 index, which declined by -1.77% over the same timeframe, indicates sector-specific or company-specific headwinds impacting investor sentiment.

Supreme Petrochem Ltd – Stock Report

SPLPETRO
Supreme Petrochem Ltd is a key Indian petrochemicals company primarily engaged in the manufacture of styrenics products including polystyrene, expandable polystyrene (EPS), masterbatches and related polymer compounds. It has manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and serves both domestic and export markets. Supreme Petrochem’s share price has seen a wide trading range over the last year, swinging between the mid 400s and nearly 980, reflecting significant volatility driven by cyclical demand for petrochemical products and raw material cost shifts. Valuation metrics such as the price-to-earnings ratio remain elevated compared to historical averages, suggesting the stock is priced richly on current earnings relative to past norms. Price-to-book ratios also sit well above typical peer averages, indicating that investors may be pricing in growth or premium positioning, though this increases downside risk if earnings disappoint. Financially, Supreme Petrochem’s recent revenue figures show growth compared to earlier periods, but profitability margins have been modest, with net profit margins in the low single digits. Earnings per share remain positive, though performance can fluctuate with raw material cost dynamics and product demand. Return on equity metrics have been reasonable, reflecting decent capital efficiency where profits exist. Risks for Supreme Petrochem include raw material price volatility, cyclical end-market demand for plastics and packaging, and competitive pressures from both domestic and global producers. Regulatory factors such as environmental norms and anti-dumping duties can also impact cost structures and pricing power. On the positive side, a leading market position, diversification across styrenic products and a solid promoter base provide structural advantages.
