Record Order Intake and Revenue
ABB India reported a massive 52% year-on-year surge in orders for Q4 CY25, reaching ₹4,096 crore—its highest fourth-quarter intake in five years. This momentum led to a record full-year (2025) order book of ₹14,115 crore and a total order backlog of ₹10,471 crore, providing strong revenue visibility for 2026. The company also achieved its highest-ever annual revenue of ₹13,203 crore, an 8% increase from the previous year.
Financial Performance and Dividends
Despite the record top-line growth, consolidated net profit for Q4 CY25 fell by 18% year-on-year to ₹433 crore. This decline was attributed to margin pressures from volatile input costs, currency fluctuations, and increased labor expenses. Nevertheless, the Board has recommended a final dividend of ₹29.59 per share, with a record date of May 2, 2026, and payment expected after May 9.
Sectoral Growth Drivers
The recent surge in orders was driven by high demand from data centers, renewables, automotive (EV infrastructure), and railways. Management has highlighted that India's AI boom and private capital expenditure are creating a sustained expansion phase for power equipment and automation solutions. The company is specifically targeting double-digit revenue growth in 2026.
New Product Launches
In early 2026, ABB India launched the ArTu Formula, a modular low-voltage switchgear solution designed to support the "Make in India" initiative. This follows the late 2025 release of the ACS380-E machinery drive, which features integrated cybersecurity and dual Ethernet ports to help manufacturers transition toward Industry 4.0 smart factories.#WatchOutFor#EquityResearch#PersonalFinance#FundamentalViews#TechnicalViews
