Financial Performance Apollo Hospitals has reported strong financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026. The company's consolidated net profit saw a significant increase of 42% year-over-year, reaching ₹433 crore. Revenue from operations also grew by 15% to ₹5,842 crore. This growth was widespread, with contributions from its core healthcare services, retail health and diagnostics, and its digital health and pharmacy businesses. Strategic Initiatives and Corporate Actions The company is moving forward with its plan to demerge its digital health and pharmacy business into a separate entity, a move intended to unlock value for shareholders. Additionally, Apollo has announced a major expansion plan to invest over ₹7,600 crore in the next five years to add more than 4,300 new beds across India. This includes new hospital projects in Patna and Jaipur, as well as bed expansions in existing facilities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Technology and Innovation Apollo Hospitals is actively integrating advanced technology and artificial intelligence into its operations. The company has introduced "Apollo Zen," an AI-powered health management program for preventive care, and "Oralife," an AI-based tool for early detection of oral cancer. It has also partnered with Medtronic to use AI for advanced stroke management, which is expected to drastically reduce the time for stroke diagnosis.
