Stock Performance: Axis Bank shares were trading with gains in the morning session today, climbing to the ₹1,200 mark, indicating resilience. Yes Bank Stake Sale: Axis Bank, along with SBI, HDFC Bank, and others, is part of a consortium selling a combined 20% stake in Yes Bank to Japan's SMBC. Q4 FY25 Results: Axis Bank reported its Q4 FY25 results recently. Net profit remained flat YoY at ₹7,117 crore, while operating profit grew 2% YoY to ₹10,752 crore. Net Interest Margin (NIM) improved slightly QoQ to 3.97%.   Dividend: The bank announced a final dividend of ₹1 per share for FY25. The record date for the dividend is July 4, 2025.   Layoff Reports: Recent rumors of senior employee layoffs were addressed by CEO Amitabh Chaudhry, who stated it's a regular annual appraisal process and nothing unusual.   RBI Penalty: The RBI had earlier imposed a penalty on Axis Bank (along with other banks) for regulatory compliance lapses.   Fund Raising Plans: Axis Bank previously announced plans to raise ₹20,000 crore through a stake sale and debt issuance.   Digital Initiatives: Axis Bank introduced an in-app Mobile OTP feature for enhanced security and a B2B Collections Solution on NBBL's Bharat Connect.   CSR Initiatives: The bank unveiled its 'One Axis CSR Vision' with a pledge to empower 2 million more households.   Aircraft Financing: Axis Bank became the first Indian bank to execute aircraft financing through its IBU at GIFT City IFSC.   Fundamental News: Axis Bank is the third-largest private sector bank in India.   It has a significant market capitalization.   The bank has shown good profit growth over the last 5 years (CAGR of 72.2% as per some reports).   Analysts have suggested that the stock might be attractively valued. However, promoter holding is relatively low. The bank has a low interest coverage ratio.   There are significant contingent liabilities.
