BANK OF INDIA LATEST UPDATE

BANKINDIA
Bank of India's shares are trading ex-dividend today, June 20, 2025, for a final dividend of ₹4.05 per equity share for the financial year 2024-25. This dividend was recommended on May 9, 2025, and shareholders on record today will be eligible for the payment, subject to approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for June 27, 2025. This follows a strong financial performance in Q4 FY25, where the bank's net profit surged by 82.5% year-on-year to ₹2,626 crore, and operating profit increased by 37%. For the full FY25, net profit grew by 46% to ₹9,219 crore, with global advances surpassing ₹6 lakh crore, reflecting robust growth in retail, MSME, and agriculture segments. The bank continues to focus on improving its asset quality, with gross NPAs declining to 3.27% and net NPAs to 0.82% in Q4 FY25. They are aiming for continued loan growth of 12-13% and deposit growth of 11-12% in FY26. In terms of strategy, Bank of India has been proactively adjusting interest rates, including cutting home loan rates by 25 basis points and reducing fixed deposit rates. They are also seeking an advisor to formulate a comprehensive strategy for deposit growth, particularly for CASA deposits, and intend to reduce their stake in STCI Finance to comply with new RBI norms. Recent regulatory developments, such as the RBI's "Project Finance Directions 2025" coming into force from October 1, 2025, are expected to have a limited impact on banks' profitability, including Bank of India's, as the new guidelines are more relaxed than the draft and primarily affect new project loans. Bank of India is also actively involved in recruitment efforts, with various notices for officer and apprentice positions for the 2024-25 project year, indicating an expansion of its workforce.
