New Subsidiary for Digital Financial Services: Bharti Airtel has incorporated a new wholly-owned step-down subsidiary called "Airtel Money Limited." This entity, established on July 8, 2025, aims to consolidate and strengthen Airtel's digital financial services, including the Airtel Money Wallet, by segregating its telecom and financial services operations for better agility and compliance. Enhanced Network Security: Airtel has launched an AI-powered fraud detection system in Mumbai, successfully safeguarding over 2.1 million users from online fraud within 50 days. This system proactively blocks malicious links across various platforms (SMS, WhatsApp, email, etc.), scanning over 1 billion URLs daily and providing a free digital shield to all Airtel mobile and broadband customers. Strategic 5G Expansion and Spectrum Acquisition: In April 2025, Airtel acquired 400 megahertz of spectrum in the 26GHz band from Adani Data Networks.
