Grasim Industries Limited Latest Updates

GRASIM
Paints Business Expansion in Full Swing: Grasim's "Birla Opus" paints venture is rapidly expanding. The company recently commenced commercial production at its new Resin manufacturing block in Mahad, Maharashtra, on June 24, 2025, ensuring in-house supply for paint manufacturing. This follows the earlier launch of other paint facilities, contributing to Birla Opus quickly becoming India's third-largest decorative paints brand by exit revenue run-rate within six months of pan-India operations. Strong Q4 FY25 Results & Analyst Confidence: Grasim delivered robust financial performance for Q4 FY25, with consolidated net profit up 9.2% and revenue rising 17.3%, driven by strong contributions from cement, chemicals, and financial services. The company also declared a dividend of Rs 10 per share. Global brokerage Morgan Stanley recently upgraded Grasim to 'Overweight,' citing the successful paints business launch and projecting over 34% upside. Overall Strategic Growth & Digital Ventures: For the full fiscal year 2025, Grasim achieved its highest-ever consolidated revenue. While net profit for the year was impacted by significant investments in new ventures, these new growth engines are scaling rapidly. Notably, the B2B e-commerce vertical ("Birla Pivot") has already surpassed an annualized revenue run-rate of ₹5,000 crore, indicating successful diversification. Sustainability and Future Outlook: Grasim is committed to sustainability, with its new paint plants designed to meet stringent environmental norms. The company continues to expand capacity in its core businesses and is progressing on other projects like a Lyocell Fibre plant. Despite initial investment impacts on profitability, the strong performance of new businesses and positive analyst sentiment point towards continued growth.
