GRAVITA
Financial and Business Performance Gravita India reported strong financial results for Q1 FY2025-26, with revenue from operations increasing 15% year-on-year to ₹1,039.94 crore. The company's profit after tax (PAT) saw a significant jump of 39% to ₹93.26 crore compared to the same period last fiscal year. While there was a slight decline in both revenue and net profit from the previous quarter, the year-on-year growth remains strong. Strategic Initiatives and Expansion The company has outlined a substantial ₹1,500 crore investment plan to be completed by FY28. This capital expenditure is intended to expand its total recycling capacity to 7 lakh tonnes per annum. A key part of this strategy is to increase the contribution of its non-lead businesses, such as lithium-ion battery and rubber recycling, to over 30% of its total profitability by 2029. Gravita India is also exploring mergers and acquisitions to accelerate its global growth. Corporate and Stock Updates Gravita India held its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 8, 2025. The company's stock has shown high volatility. While it has delivered impressive long-term returns with a 5-year return of over 3,300%, it has seen a decline of over 20% in the last year. The stock was trading around ₹1,670 as of September 9, 2025, significantly below its 52-week high of ₹2,700. The company's promoters have also slightly decreased their holding over the last quarter.
