Q4 FY26 Financial Performance HDFC Bank released its fourth-quarter results for the fiscal year 2025-2026 on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The bank reported a standalone net profit of ₹19,221.05 crore, marking a 9.1% year-on-year (YoY) increase. The Net Interest Income (NII) grew by approximately 3.2% to 3.8% YoY, reaching ₹33,281.5 crore. Total income for the quarter stood at roughly ₹89,809 crore. Dividend DeclarationThe Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹13.00 per equity share (face value of ₹1) for FY26. Combined with the previously paid interim dividend, the total payout for the financial year is ₹15.50 per share. The record date to determine shareholder eligibility for this final dividend is fixed for Friday, June 19, 2026. Asset Quality and ProvisionsThe bank’s asset quality showed sequential improvement. Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) declined to 1.15% (down from 1.24% in the previous quarter), while Net NPA moderated to 0.38%. Provisions for the March quarter dropped to ₹2,609.57 crore, a significant decrease from both the previous quarter and the same period last year. Business Growth and Capital HDFC Bank reported a 14.4% growth in total deposits, reaching approximately ₹31.05 lakh crore. Gross advances increased by 12% YoY to roughly ₹29.60 lakh crore. The bank maintains a healthy Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of 19.7%, with a Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio of 17.3%. Corporate Actions and Subsidiaries The bank successfully offloaded a portion of its stake in HDB Financial Services through an Offer for Sale (OFS) during its Initial Public Offering (IPO), resulting in a net gain of ₹9,179.40 crore. Additionally, the board approved the issuance of Perpetual Debt Instruments (AT1 bonds) to raise further funds. In leadership changes, Part-time Chairman Atanu Chakraborty resigned in March 2026.
